Also, tomorrow (Thursday, September 30) is the benefit for Richard at church. It will be at Julie's Fresh Kitchen on McCart from 4-8. Proceeds will go towards helping Richard purchase a new service dog.

Friday is the Women's Retreat to Riverbend!

The Men's Fish Fry is Tuesday, October 5. It is $7 a person.

The Men's Cook Off is Saturday, October 16. I don't have much info on this yet, but will post it as I get it.

Last of all, there will probably be a Fall festival this year on Halloween at the church. More details to come.

It's already looking like October will be a busy month, but we'll try to get a fellowship organized soon!

A New Season

It's a new fall season, a new school year, and a new start for life groups! We will be getting back to life groups this Sunday, September 12th. Please bring a brunch dish to share with the group!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Lauryn Annie Elizabeth Ballard is here!

She arrived Monday, April 26, 2010 at 7:33 am.

That means she is a week old today! I'm a little behind on getting it up on here Mom and baby are doing great. The life group is working on getting meals to them, if you are interested and haven't already signed up, please let me know.

Spring Break Get-Together

The Westlys were our gracious hosts this past Wednesday for a life group gathering. We appreciate them having us all over. It was a wonderful time with lots of laughing and way too much eating. It was all topped off with a yummy Costco cake to celebrate Brad Wright's 29th birthday. ;) We don't have anything planned for this Sunday night, but hopefully we'll have something "on the books" soon!

Our calendar is updated now with important dates, fellowships, and food sign ups. There are still some more dates we need to add, so keep checking back.

When you open the calendar, click on the word "agenda" to see what is planned each day for the whole month.

Saints vs Colts & Upcoming Fun

Super Bowl Sunday is in two weeks- Feb. 7th. We will have a fellowship at that time, so bring a potluck dish or finger food to share and come cheer on your team (or just eat and chat). The location is yet to be decided, but check back for updates.

Also, there is now a link in the right hand margin for our life group calendar. This morning Jason shared some new ideas for get-togethers. We are going to try to have a Sunday lunch on the first Sunday of the month (starting in March), two brown bag evening fellowships, and one Saturday evening girls/guys night out a month.

The calendar will be completed soon so everyone can plan on being there!

Fellowship

There will be a life group fellowship this Sunday night. Probably at the Wrights', but nothing is in stone yet. Keep your evening open after the Cowboys' game!

Jason and Alison welcomed their new son on Friday, December 18th. He was a whopping 9 lbs 5oz!

Way to go Alison!

We'll be signing up soon to start getting some meals to the new parents.

The life group party was a lot of fun! I know the Lentz family ate way too many snacks! Thank you Rachael and Brad for hosting. Here are a couple of pics from the evening. Unfortunately we didn't get too many. Hopefully we'll be able to get together again soon... probably in 2010!

Here it is! Our new life group blog! It's a work in progress, but at least it's up and running! Our hope is that we can use this to extend morning conversations, post announcements, stories, photos of fellowships, and news of upcoming events.
